"course rigor" question

my school has a program that has class college-style. we have class 3 days a week and study hall the other 2 days. the classes are considered honors but will colleges know that they’re advanced classes? and if a class is for college credit will they count that as rigorous also?? ive taken a lot of honors/college credit/flexible schedule classes throughout high school but im wondering if they’ll count it as rigorous even though my schedule isnt full of AP’s? I do have 3 AP’s but I’ve taken more of the other kinds of challenging courses. I just want to know if it’s considered rigorous without all the AP labels?

This is a question for your guidance counselor. In the end, he/she is the one who has the option to check “most rigorous” on your application.

3 days a week? Wow, how long is your school day? How many classes do you take? Do you have to have study hall or could you take extra classes instead?

If this is across your entire school then the colleges should be aware of the general course rigor. A school profile which explains this will also be sent along with your transcript. If you’re still concerned then talk to your GC who will have fielded this question before.

@LeviAckermen school day is from 8-3 with 7 classes. study hall is included as part of that class like there’s some people that have flexible schedule and a whole other separate study hall. so if they’re in 3 flexible classes and study hall, they could potentially have 4 study halls a day. but the next day they would have all 3 of their class’ lectures.
