Course rigor?

Hi, I'm a rising junior and I will be taking 4 ap classes next year.
However, throughout freshman and sophomore year I've taken mostly cp courses, with the exception of English 1H, English 2H, Spanish1H, Spanish2H, Geometry H and Wolrd History H.
Aaand I got mostly Bs during freshman year. But I got mostly As sophomore year.
What will colleges think when they see that I got b's in cp classes? Will getting A s in ap classes make up for it?

Also, could you guys possibly rate my junior year schedule?

AP Lang
APUSH
Pre calc
Spanish 3
AP Chem
AP euro
And either band or another AP

Thanks!

I have no idea but I think that if can get your unweighted GPA to a 3.7 (3.9-4.0 preferably) you will still be good. Also I believe colleges would forgive you for your B’s if you actually get A’s this year and next. What is your current unweighted GPA?

As for your schedule I wouldn’t worry about opinions of people online. Some may find that schedule super rigorous, some may find it a joke compared to their schedule. The question is do YOU think it will challenge you?

Regards,

The academic grades of your junior are arguably the most important of all grades when considering grades in the admissions process.

You are on the right track, since you claim that your overall grades steadily improved throughout the semesters. Remember to aim high for your junior year.

Your schedule is rigorous as it currently is.

As the previous poster said,

Just focus on what you do. Disregard what other people are doing.

Thanks for the responses!
My current unweighted GPA is 3.4 :frowning:
How much can I raise it by the end of junior year if I get all A’s??

If you got a 4.0 unweighted your gpa would be 3.6 by the end of the year

I’ll take jmons word for it :)

Really getting all A’s junior and senior year is quite an accomplishment regardless of what your final GPA ends up being.

And Regardless of GPA calculations nonsense your goal is to just get A’s this year so I wouldn’t over analyze your UW GPA. Just go for your goal - straight A’s
