Course selection help for stern

Recently I just started looking into which courses I should be taking at Stern for the fall. For some reason, a lot of the hyperlinks on the Stern site lead me to the main Stern homepage instead of the actual page it's supposed to direct me to, so I am unable as of now to read those help pages without googling parts of it and trying to cache the page.

I'll probably be majoring in finance.

Cohort Leadership Program - 0
Writing the Essay - 4
FALL 2010 V55.0545 Cultures and Contexts: Egypt of the Pharaohs - 4
(This will get the world culture req out of the way, correct?)

I received a 5 on the AP Chemistry test, so I think I can exempt my way out of the science requirement. Am I right in thinking I won't have to take a science course at all in college then?

Math - I took AP Calculus this year, and I'm pretty confident I did well enough on the AP test to exempt my way out of calculus 1 and 2. My question here is - should I take calc 2 anyways because my goal is partially to maintain as high a GPA as possible? I thought it would be easier to get an A in a course I've already taken, but a few friends have said the 'easier' a course is, the harder it is to get an A - is this true at Stern? Should I repeat calc 2 or go straight for calc 3? I did well in the course and the AP test.

Statistics - Again, same question applies(I took the AP Stat course and test this year). Should I take the 4 credit Statistics Regression Control or just the 2 credit Business Forecasting/Regression course? I feel that I mastered the AP level statistics without any real difficulty, so that might be taken into consideration.

So not including statistics, that's currently 12 credits. I'm leaning towards just 16 credits for the fall semester so I can settle in nicely with a slightly lighter workload. Is this line of thinking correct, or are my other courses easy enough that I should go for 18 credits?

Thanks in advance for any help!
