Course Selection Help!!

In college I would like to major in Economics and International Relations. I am choosing classes for next year (Senior year) and I just can't decide, so any help you can give would be extremely helpful. I'm hoping to go to a competitive college (Vanderbilt, Columbia, etc.)

I'm thinking about:
AP English Literature
AP Comparative Government
AP Environmental Science
AP Spanish
AP Calculus (I'm not sure if I should do AB or BC)
Leadership (SGA)
For my last class I'm trying to decide between AP Statistics, Applied History (a special class unique to my school where we learn about living history in the first semester and an internship the second semester), or being a TA for a teacher (grade papers, assist them in any way)

Please help :)

Applied History sounds like it would fit in better with what you are planning on majoring in honestly. How many periods does your high school have (if they even offer any)? Make sure to have one or two free periods so you actually have some chill time because believe it or not, senior year is a lot more stressful/busy than junior year (I’m currently a senior). Good Luck!

If I were you is pick AB and applied history but that’s just me :)

I will also be a senior next year, and I also want to major in IR. I will be taking AP Stats, that would probably be useful if you are interested in some sort of research job. Maybe replace AP Enviro unless you want to take a science class senior year. Applied history sounds like a really unique class you should take though.
