Hey guys I need some help on course selection.

I plan on majoring in Finance and minoring in Government, doing so leaves me with only 4 free elective classes and I am planning on using them to take Sociology,Psych,History, and Philosophy related electives. I've read that its essential for law schools to see English classes on one's transcript, so my question is would introductory classes in humanities, rhetoric, and a Lit elective (Credit, no grade for lit elective) be enough or should I take a upper level humanities class on reading and writing text? Do law schools assume that a minor in government involves writing or do they need to see more English classes?

Also, I've heard from two different people two separate opinions on law related classes (ie Civil Liberties, Gender and Law, Criminal Law etc) .

One of them said take as many as you can because it shows interest in the subjects and provides you with a general background in law.

The other tells me that law schools do not look favorably upon those classes because they do not want students with a preconcieved notions relating to law and undergraduate law courses are much different from those in law school.

Who is right?

Thank you for your help
