is it difficult to get all the courses you need in your first year if you’re entering in the spring semester? im talking about courses like math chem and phys and maybe engl or rhet or whatever it is at osu

It shouldn’t be. Freshmen who are non-honors have the last scheduling appointments, so you may be out of luck of you are hoping to get the best time for a class or the best professor, but in general, most general education courses (like introductory math, science, and english classes) are offered at many times, with large classes, so you have an excellent chance of getting into the classes you want. Regardless, it is a good idea to have backup classes in mind, such that if you are scheduling and realize that you can’t get into a class, you can still schedule your backup class.

Whenever you are told to schedule, schedule then, because as time goes by classes will fill up, especially for classes with better times.
