<p>I was browsing through the courses that I wanted to take on my myapplication site, and I was surprised to see that some of the courses I wanted to take already had people on waitlists in some timeslots. Since freshmen can't schedule courses until August 25th, how badly are they affected by these waitlists?</p>
<p>i heard that they increase the number if available slots by the time freshmen are supposed to sign up. SO don’t worry too much about it yet.</p>
<p>they’ll open up more slots IF it’s a freshman heavy class – like beginner chem, bio, math, etc. if it’s an elective or miscellaneous GE (like the random linguistics/anthro/whatever class), then you probably won’t be taking it anytime soon – it’s already filled with senior students trying to complete their GE requirements on time.</p>
