Its so confusing! I did the IB program and will be going to U1 directly this Fall for Commerce at McGill. But i have no idea on the course registration stuff.

Can someone please help me. Is there anyone here that has already completed a year at Desautels and can help me out?

Thank u

Hi,
If you haven’t already, this website will help a ton: [Welcome to McGill: New Students](I've Been Accepted - McGill University)

In addition, your program has its own page, so this may help you: Management

Looking at that page, this seems to be their requirement for the BCom Degree:
"If you have been admitted to a three-year 90-credit program, you are expected to register for the following courses: Students who have been admitted to a 96-credit program must see an adviser before the end of the add/drop period. Students who are in the 96 credit program are required to take MATH 122 and MATH 123 in their first year. MGCR 271 should be deferred to second year and MGCR 341 and MGCR 472 should be taken in the winter term of their second year. This may delay graduation depending on your chosen program, therefore come to the BCom Student Affairs Office to meet with an Academic Adviser.

Fall Term:
- MGCR 211
- MGCR 222
- MGCR 271*
- MGCR 293**
- MGCR 331

Winter Term:
- ECON 295**
- MGCR 382
- MGCR 341
- MGCR 352
- MGCR 472

NOTE: Students considering taking the Major in International Management may delay 6 credits of core until U2 if replaced by language courses in the U1 schedule.

Students considering a Major or Minor in Mathematics replace MGCR 271 with MATH 323 and MATH 324. Students entering an Honours or Joint Honours Program in Economics should replace MGCR 271 with ECON 257D1/D2.

** Students entering an Economics program in U1 should replace MGCR 293 for timetabling purposes with ECON 230D1/D2 for the Majors program or ECON 250D1/D2 for the Honours or Joint Honours Programs. Please note that ECON 230D1/D2 or ECON 250D1/D2 exempt only MGCR 293. Economics ECON 330D1/D2 or ECON 352D1/D2 taken in the second year will exempt ECON 295."

Now, I’m not 100% on it as I’m not in the program but from the looks of the page, that’s the course selections they’d like you to take. To double-check or if you need more guidance, I’d advise contacting your program advisor (bcom.mgmt@mcgill.ca?).

Welcome to McGill!

wow thank u very much!

But i need to take Math 122 and Math 123 as well.
