I am at a loss right now trying to decide what classes to sign up for for my senior year. Is it acceptable to email the schools I'm looking at and ask them what they would want to see me take?

Doesn’t your high school have fairly well defined course sequences and options in each subject? For example:

English: 12th grade English course, or honors/AP version
Math: next course in sequence, or honors/AP version
Social studies: whatever your school recommends for 12th grade, or honors/AP version
Science: to complete all three of biology, chemistry, and physics
Foreign language: next course in sequence, or honors/AP version
Art or music: as needed or desired for college entrance requirements or personal interest

Of course, if you have exhausted your high school’s offerings in a given subject because you were advanced, then you get a free elective slot. Or perhaps take a college course at a nearby college.

Honestly, I don’t think it would be a good idea to ask your colleges which classes you should be taking. Colleges want to see independent, initiative-taking students - asking some stranger which classes you should be taking in high school is not very indicative of that. If your school has requirements as ucbalumnus (GO BEARS!) said, then take those. If not, then take whatever appeals to your own interests. That way, you’ll have some background experience for when you choose your major (say if you want to major in Psychology - see if your high school has any psych classes and take one of those).

So far theses are the classes that I have taken. My school, up until this year, has not offered AP classes until senior year. The only AP I was able to take was AP English.

3 years of math (Algebra II, Advanced math and Geometry, Precalculus)
3 years of science (Integrated science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
2 years of lab (Biology, Chemistry)
3 years of English (including AP Literature and Composition)
3 years of foreign language (3 years of Spanish, also took Latin I)
1 year of history (World History)
2 years of social studies (Geography, Government/ Economics)
2 years of art
3 years of religion (required)
1 year of health
1 year of microcomputers

I believe that those are all the classes I have taken. Any suggestions on what I should take next year? I don’t want to overload myself next year with AP’s. I would like to double major in a field of business and in a field of science.

Thanks for your help!

Seems like an obvious schedule would be, based on continuing where you left off:

Calculus
advanced science course if available
English course suitable for 12th graders at your school
Spanish 4 (and Latin 2 if interested)
US history
electives

But you need to tailor your schedule for your own interests, and check for recommendations on the web sites of colleges you are applying to.
