<p>I'm studying abroad there and I'm wondering if anyone knows how rigorous a 12 hour courseload would be for a MechE. </p>
<p>I'm planning on taking Fluid Mechanics, Intro to Materials Science, and two electives. If I was at home, this wouldn't be bad at all, but when I'm abroad I want to be able to balance academics with social life and the cultural experience. </p>
<p>So does anyone have experience with courses at HKUST? I've heard that at a lot of Asian universities there's a lot less work and a lot more emphasis on exams.</p>
