I am planning to transfer to a UC in the fall of 2016 as an engineering major. So far, I finished cal 1, eng 101, eng 103 and some art and crafts classes. As for the classes I have left cal II,III, diff. equations, linear alegbra, physics I,II,III,chem 101. My questions is how do I tackle these course in three semester. Is taking physics 1 , chem 101, and cal II in one semester a good choice? the phyics II, cal III. then physics III, linear algebra, diff. equations. How would you set your courseload? thanks.

In semester 2, linear algebra and differential equations can be taken at the same time, but of course you should look online on your college’s course catalogue to find out if the prereqs allow you to do that. There’s really no reason they can’t. If you don’t like the idea of having four math-intense courses in semester 2, I would suggest you push linear algebra into its own semester in semester 3. Also check degree applicability of some of these higher math classes. They may transfer but they are not required to give you degree applicability for them.
