I was in a pre-IB program at my school freshmen and sophomore year which means i took the most rigorous classes available at my school. Some serious personal complications arose during my sophomore year, and so for my junior year the rigor of my courseload has been significantly reduced (I had absolutely no say in this) & I really feel like I'm about to go crazy because I'm so scared I'm not going to be accepted into any of the good colleges. my school is also extremely competitive and generally classes are a lot harder than at other schools however I doubt colleges actually look at what sort of school you come from, do they? anyway this is my schedule for junior year:

Precalculus (I dropped out of honors 2nd semester last year, & retaking it this year)
Anatomy/Physiology
German Honors
US History Honors
AP English
JV Cross Country (I'm aiming to get into Varsity by the end of the season)
AP Music Theory (on my own, I study piano on the side so my teacher can help me, I haven't told my counselor yet because I doubt she would let me take it)

I might also take the AP Environmental Science and APUSH test on my own. My counselor & parents would not let me take more than 1 AP due to what happened last year. So I'm thinking about just taking these tests on my own (but would it help at all?)

In terms of extracurriculars I'm extremely involved but just looking at my courseload right now, and how easy it looks, I'm seriously stressed out and scared that I won't get accepted to the good colleges. Originally I wanted to go Ivy League but of course that is impossible now, so my next top choice is NYU and I really want to go there so badly. Senior year, I will be allowed to take as many AP classes as I want but isn't that too late?

in conclusion, theres nothing i can do about my courseload right now, but if I got straight As in these classes, would i still have a good shot at NYU & other good colleges (name a few other realistic options pls)? My GPA is about 3.4 unweighted(but i can raise it) & i should score above 2000 in my SATs.
