Courses Affect Chances of Summer Internship?

<p>So I'm currently a sophomore at Worcester Polytechnic. And I'm currently in the hunt for a summer internship for something related to my major. Question is how much will my grades and courses affect my chances of getting an internship. </p>

<p>I want to know if some of you had good/bad grades and whether your chances of internships was affected by them. And the classes you took and whether they helped or hurt you in your internship (did they help you get them, did they help while you were interning?)</p>

<p>Any info. would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if this question has been asked before.</p>

<p>umm… unless you have previous related work experience, either in the field or in internships/coops, i’d say your chances of an internships are 50% affected by grades/skills</p>

<p>if you know someone who can push your resume to a hiring manager, thats your other 49%. then theres the 1% in how good your resume/cover letter look</p>

<p>and thats just to get an interview</p>
