Hello,

I understand that there are M.Arch programs for students who obtained a bachelor's in any field. Still, are there certain classes I might want to take if I'm considering an M.Arch? For instance, should I be taking math classes?

I'm hoping I can take some drawing classes as well.

First you need to develop a portfolio, so some studio art courses and architectural drawing courses are a good way to accumulate portfolio material.

Second, a basic knowledge of art history, especially architecture related, is usually required.

Different colleges have different math/physics requirements. Some require two semesters, some one, some none. If you have a specific M.Arch in mind, check their website for specifics.

At the minimum you should take one term of calculus and one term of physics. You will also need to take the GRE, so your math/science skills must at least be up to the level that gets you through the exam.

Not academic, but other things you could do to prepare for M.Arch are 1) get an internship or summer job at an architectural firm; 2) travel as much as you can and LOOK at architecture.
