Can anyone tell me the degree of difficulty with the following courses
organic chemistry
bio chemistry
genetics

I have heard that more undergraduate students fail organic chemistry than any other course at the university. People that easily pass organic chemistry say biochemistry is more difficult than organic. Genetics is not easy. Physical chemistry is a real bear, too.

Organic chem is probably the primary weed-out class for would be pre-med students - e.g. “uh-oh, failed another organic exam. You know, maybe I should be a pre-law student”. I would hazard a guess that more law students are created in organic chemistry than in any other class. ;)

Joking aside, you have to work to get through these course. It can be done. If FSU accepts you, you have what it takes to work through these difficult courses.
