Does SC only have one lecture per course per quarter? Cause all the freaking classes I was hoping to sign up for are all full when I check it in my student portal, and I can't sign up for classes until Tuesday at my orientation.

your orientation day is this tuesday? so is mine :P

Anyways, I wouldn't worry about signing up for classes online (well at least I'm not). It says in the book they help you do that at orientation.

To answer your main question, minus a few exceptions are there is only one lecture per course. If it's not listed in the schedule of classes it doesn't exist. Sorry, that's just part of being a freshman.

You'll find some classes you like, and you can always try to crash courses as well.

Good luck, don't stress.

How would that cater to thousands of students? What are all the other students going to take?

There are plenty of seats in classes overall, you just might not get your first pick

All continuing students enrolled last May, so it's only frosh who are enrolling at this point.
