So does anyone know how college classes work? I know we have to take a certain number of courses per "requirement," and have to earn a certain number of units from those courses, but what exactly constitutes a "course"? How many courses do students usually take a year in order to meet the requirements?

And any other related questions.

Help please!

you need 12 units for a qtr to be considered a full time student. assuming all your classes are 4 units (most are except some like seminars, yearbook, first year foreign language, etc. that may be more/less), that is 3 classes. usually people take 4 classes in a qtr (16 units) and your limit (unless you petition for more) is 20 units.

you need 180 units to graduate

15 units/quarter is “normal progress”
