Couzen's Hall etc.

Hey,
Can anyone tell me if Couzen's Hall is a good dorm? I need some help figuring out what classes to take in the fall. I know I want to get into the Bschool....anyone have info?

Also, does anyone have orientation July 23rd-25th?

Thanks!!! :)

GO BLUE

It's not a party dorm, but then again, there's nothing wrong with that. Hallways are the widest of any dorms. Most rooms are single, but there are people that hang out. Study lounges are mediocre. The main lounge is pretty nice however, but there is only one. Def doesn't compare to Alice Lloyd lounges. Location is OK. Just use the walkway by the Life Sciences Building to get to Central. Food is OK. About the same as any other dorm other than Bursely. The cafeteria is bleh but better than Alice Lloyd.

I guess the only real problem with Couzens is that you won't have the "I'm so cool cuz I live in South Quad" line to show off.

I have orientation at 23-25, I think, haha. I need to reverify that. That's the honors one right? Ill be there longer cause Ross needs to talk to me as well....

Im also going to be at couzens. Meet you there, haha. I really wanted the South Quad, not to show off, but to actually be around people that are in the honors program.... That's not something so unnatural to ask for.

Chickenlord-

wow is 23rd-25th honors? haha I am not in the honors program how did that happen....anywho, I am pretty upset that Couzen's Hall blows. I thought that it was much better than north campus...oh well. Also, do you know anyone else in Couzen's Hall that is in a double room? Girl? haha I wanna find a roomie.

At my orientation, they had students, honors and non-honors, from all the different schools.

I have orientation 23-25th also...non-honors though

I also have orientation 23-25th...and I don't think that's honors...sadly.

Yay I will see all you guys July 23rd then! :)

We gotta find some parties at orientation. Orientation will be the first time I set foot on campus and Michigan better show me a good time.

Wait, I thought they don't have orientation with different groups. Damn, I need to check the calendar. Maybe it isn't 23rd. Damn damn damn damn damn. Maybe I missed it already.

Anyways, if it is, I shall hopefully see you all there. To the person looking for a good time at orientation through measures of partying. I doubt we can do anything in 3 days time.

By the way, are we allowed to gamble at orientation? I wanna play poker. ^^

No, there are parties. And annoying drunk people at 5 am. And they just wouldn't shut up.

lol it felt as if i was the only one that WASNT drunk at orientation

Sweetness.

so, how tight are the alcohol security measures? I'm guessing one wouldn't want to party in E Quad, so where is it safe?

You may want to be cautious about alcohol during orientation. It's not too late for them to revoke your admission.

They just send you home and make you go back for another orientation.

did you see anybody get caught?

They said 5 people had been sent home so far, but I personally didn't see if anyone got "caught."

Hey Ali!!! It's Justin. Couzen's is nice 'cause it's closer to Central Campus than North Campus Housing such as Baits I and II and Bursley Halls. But I've heard the rooms are not as nice.....call me when you're in Ann Arbor!
