Does MIT have a cover letter to use when sending financial aid info? I don't see it anywhere but I want to make sure before sending our taxes, etc.

Thanks.

MIT wants you to use IDOC, not mail them directly.

Hey crazymomster,

They actually do want you to mail them all the tax info in addition to the IDOC! I didn’t realize it until my son got an email and then I did a little digging. I called MIT f. aid and they told me, yep, we want you to send or fax us everything! I forgot to ask about a cover sheet, though, and they are super busy right now. Here’s the link to where I found the info (it was in my son’s email and sorry I don’t know how to use ■■■■■■■!):

[Deadlines & Requirements | MIT Admissions](<a href=“How to apply for aid | MIT Admissions”>How to apply for aid | MIT Admissions)

Notice it says they require parents to send all that stuff directly to MIT in addition to the IDOC. Who knew???

OK hmm, I suppose I missed the fine print!

That’s really odd though.

Thanks for the head’s up.

Go back and re-read the link you sent me… your S is not “international”… the tax forms are required for all internationals, otherwise, only IDOC.

You had me freaked out for a minute! Crazymomster is right, IDOC only for domestic folks.

Oh my gosh, you’re totally right! (Our power was out and I just saw this) I wonder why the lady in the office told me different? I guess she assumed we were international!

Thanks for noticing that, momster!
