Cpa

I’m not sure where I should post this…but …

I know someone who wants to pursue a CPA degree (accounting). She received her bachelors degree in business or something of that nature from a University in China…and received her master’s degree in economics from a US university. Now, she wants to pursue accounting, and wants to get a CPA license. Does anyone know what is the best way for her to do this? Does she need to get another bachelors degree? or any other degree? THanks

She needs to be licensed by her state. There is a set of exams to pass in order to get the CPA (certified public accountant.) She can start with the information and links here
http://www.icpas.org/icpas/index.asp
but she will have to eventually go through her state bureaucracy.

Exactly - she needs to contact her state board of accountancy to find out the licensing requirements - it can vary from state to state, but they all require the CPA exam.

Is she's in CA, if so this site might be of some help http://www.calcpaweb.org/

Here's another one to check out http://aicpa.org/index.htm
