CPP or SDSU?

I’m currently enrolled into SDSU as a bio/zoology major but I just got off the CPP waitlist for environmental biology. I’m hoping to go to vet school one day so I’m looking to change my major in CPP (if I choose to go) but I was wondering which school was better.
UC Davis admits 5 students from CPP and 1 from SDSU into their vet program, so that alone should make me go to Cal Poly but I’m pretty conflicted for a few reasons:

  1. SDSU has a great social scene: as a girl that likes to have fun, parties and tailgates are a big part of SDSU and I was pumped for that but CPP sounds a bit boring…? I hear a lot of people choose other schools instead of CPP because of this reason.
  2. From what i’ve heard CPP is a commuter school so no one is really on campus. It sounds a bit dull for me and I heard there’s not much to do there anyway.
  3. For biological sciences, CPP does have a better reputation since it’s so hands-on. They have horses and llamas on campus which is great exposure especially if I want to be a vet.
SDSU has nothing like that on their campus, but it’s still a great location.

Thanks and let me know if you have any advice!

I would definitely pick CPP. It has a great reputation and the stats for Davis really say something. Don’t worry about the social scene. There is plenty to do and there are always party’s for those who want to go to them.

@pleaseacceptj thank you! I thought more about it and I’m leaning towards CPP now.
