CPP Students I Need Your Help

I will be transferring from community college to either CSULB, CSUF, CSUN, CPP, CSULA, or CSUSB.

My gpa is 3.4 is that good or bad ?

Will I get accepted to my top three schools (they are CSULB, CSUF, & CSUN) ?

My major is Business Marketing

I will be finishing two associates one is A.A in Admin & Info Systems the second is A.S in Math and Science

I am from the Inland empire (riverside- corona area)

Are you (reading this right now) from out of area (not considered local) and have a gpa close to mine and gotten accepted to any these schools ?

ALSO, does volunteer work look good on a CSU application ? Does volunteer work at a hospital or library look good ?

For CSULB, probably not because thats the most applied to school out of all the CSU’s something like 80k + applicants. CSUF and CSUN you’ll easily get in though. I got into CPP with a 3.0 as a transfer, so just so you know, colleges really like transfers because they aren’t freshman and they understand what needs to be done in college. Unless its a letter of recommendation I dont think volunteer work applies, unless you included it in your essay for admissions, but CSU’s dont require that so im not sure if you need it. And, why do you have 2 associates? I had a AS -T for transfer in Business Admin. not actual associate degrees, do you have more than 70 credits at a CC?

an as-t is a guarantee into the CSU system not a guarantee to the CSU school you want to go to that’s one reason i didn’t get an as-t but I will look into it in case I can get one since a lot of classes overlap and yes I have 72 units in CC but will finish with 84 units

A 3.4 and the right classes should make you a very competitive applicant for Biz at CPP.

There are few guarantees in life. In the abstract, an AA-T improves your chances of admission significantly at all the CSUs .
