CPP to UCSB?? ..maybe not

Long story short, I want out of CPP. I am an entering sophmore, i had considered dropping out and entering a CCC to complete TAG and try again but there seemed to be too many complictions.

It might seem like a joke but I’m planning to go through with my second year at Cal Poly Pomona as a history pre cred major and apply this upcoming November for UCSB and possibly UCI. I almost certain I have no chance but I rather give it a shot than have stayed with the doubt

My current GPA: 2.81 (yes very low) … fall 2017:2.6 winter:2.35 and spring:3.35
(my last quarter was classes specific for my major so i did better, my first quarters were non major related courses . i did pretty bad mostly Bs)
I was very involved my freshman year with student government councils and had an on campus job as well as an off campus weekly volunteer commitment as well as other academic involvements… Im sure id need a kill-butt personal statement… but what are my chances of getting into UCSB? UCI? Im aware 94-95% of transfers are from CCC… and my academics are a laugh but I need someones insight and any advice please and thank you

worst case scenario is ill be stuck @CPP

I would say with your current CPP GPA that your chances are very low regardless if you are coming from a Cal State or a CCC. A GPA under 3.0 for any UC except maybe UC Merced will be a difficult admit.

Here is a link for UC transfer GPA by major and campus to give you an idea of your chances:
