CR and WR help

I'm glad to say that I just gave the free online SAT practice test (last year's version) and scored 800 in math, with a few minutes remaining in each math section. :D

However, I only managed a 680 in reading and 670 in writing, mostly because of problems with vocabulary. I find it weird, however, as I had no problems with vocabulary on the Barron's tests -- which is supposedly harder!

So, what should I do? Was it just luck? Would reading more passages be better, or reading more Dickens and Bronte for a more competitive vocabulary. I manage to learn 15-20 random new words each day from Barron's flash cards, hot words, 3500 words, blah blah blah.

If you're weak on vocab, why don't you improve vocab? Work on your weaknesses. Think for yourself.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - actively reading challenging English books/publications is the best CR prep there is, IMO.

What do you mean by challenging English books/publications?
Literary classics?

Read at an adult level.
