CR format in Gruber's

In second CR section of the first test in Gruber's New SAT 10th Edition, it seems like that the problems were in different styles. Instead of giving lines to tell me which place to read, the questions simply said, "In the passage, phrase blahblahblahb is used to say..." I always thought that on actual SATs, you get to see the lines that can bring you to the questions (like in Line 3-8).

Is Gruber's CR format really inaccurate or is this same for real SATs too? (I meant citation questions without giving lines)

That was so annoying and I think CR questions are way too hard.. Am I wrong? :-?

not every question in CR has line references fyi...

No you don't get what I mean. -.-

Not every question has "line" but I was talking about "line citation" which has "lines." Apparently, Gruber's problems in Section 2 didn't for the second long passage.

Plus, I KNOW that some tone questions and general passage questions do not have lines. I'm not that naive on SAT.

in the passage...it means the whole passage then...

Do ANY of the questions have line references? How many? In a random long passage from the blue book, 3 of the 6 questions had line citations.
