hey so i pretty much have been consistently scoring about 680-690 ish although i have had my days where i've gotten 720 even 800 (lucky)
and i need to figure out how to push past that 700 barrier into about 750+ consistently

what should i do?

Strengthen your weak links. If you find you don’t know the meaning of the words, improve your vocabulary.

If you find you’re unable to finish on time or that you aren’t to reading so much, get some reading practice. Subscribe to the NY or Washington times online. Read a few articles everyday, and time yourself.

Another way to improve is by reading classics, but that’s only an option if you have a few hours to spare everyday.

And of course, there’s always practice. Practice reading comprehensions from different SAT books.

I was in the same situation as you about 6 months ago. I did it by studying vocab constantly (not excessively though) and reading the passage through each time, really trying to visualize what the author was saying and understand the essence of it instead of reading the questions first or some similar gimmick.
