Okay! Thanks for opening this thread. I've practiced recent College Board past papers (2006-2012) and my score has ranged from 2270 to 2090 and the only thing that fluctuates so much is the CR. Help me please, if I have passages I really like i get about a 730 if i have some I don't like I get a 630. Yes a 100 point difference! I don't have any problem with the sentence completion. How can I help this, I can't guarantee I'll get Passages I really like in the October test coming up. I also have a problem with Improving Paragraphs, it is the only part of the Writing section I have a problem with. I guess I just have a problem with the reading in general. Please 750+ers in CR how do you do it?

This isn’t fair at all I know there are CR 700+ers, buuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmppppppp!

Hi there Lelyke, I seem to have the same problem and due to CR (which I score ~ 680s) I never seem to cross my target. My Writing and Math section seems to be just fine but the CR portion ruins it all.
Also, I tend to get bored with the passages and lose focus -_-
And with just 3 days to go for the SATs , Im freaking out ! :O

I know right I try to forget about everything I know but subjectivity keeps coming back. You are even lucky you are even in the 680 range. I’m in the 650 range. Except for when the passages are exceptionally easy. Then I’m in the 700 range. I’m freaking out as well but I’ll really just learn vocab and hope for the best.

I TOTALLY agree. I’m really glad that you brought this up. My CR section, when I practice, is BY FAR my most volatile section. Like you said, if you like the passage, it’s a breeze. If you don’t, it can be terrible.
