~~CR Hispanic Passage Discussion~~

hey what was the answer to the question describing the area

i think the choice were

unvarying
or someting else

can anyone remember?

it was unvarying

do u remember what the other answer choices were?

i think 1 other one was unremmiting

yea i think i put unvarying cuz she was comparing it to p.rico. but i remember there was another choice that i almost put. i m trying to think about it

i think one choice was like "recurring"

i happen to remember one more question though. what did u guys put for the mother's words "how could u go to the sidewalk"? i put something with different rules applied. is that right?

yea diff rules applied in nyc

right thats what i put too

"cautiously took note of each other", anyone?

i back you cautiously

"studied each other suspiciously" seems to be less likely, I mean, the narrator was pretending not to notice the girl, right?

I dont get you guys, why is it oppressive? although uniform is correct, it was not oppressive, it was mysterious lol! and for the Lweis passage, was one of the answers LOCATE (the river on the map?) I know.....its stupid to ask question like now.... but i am just curious haha

It was oppressive because it described the concrete walls and the barbed wire fences around the playground or something.... basically, it was oppressive because it wasn't open and free like Puerto Rico. Everything is guarded and ... well... oppressive!
