Just to organize CR people who took the same test into one thread.

For Alaska passage, Last question was: what is the purpose for describitions in the last couple lines. One choice was Vivid imagery, I put gentle persuasion because when i re-read the descriptions, while they gave you images, they were not something i would describe as "vivid, but more like simple descriptions.

I put the same

Ok, the ACTUAL last question on that section was: analyze the last sentence, "Is there anywhere else I would live? I can't imagine Where." I CANNOT remeber answer choices for this one at all.

Wildlife/ Advertisements: What is similar about the advertisements "Go to Eastwood" "Name of Paint Company": was it that they were both on rocks in three colors of paint, or both in adirondacks??

I had the alaska and visible light passages but not the wildlife/advertisement one. I had west vs. africa preservation or something like that.

For the last question about the alaska passage, i think, but i cant really remember, that the answer was something about contentment.

Yes. I also put that answer. This means that the Advertisement ruining nature passage is experimental.

bump......

I really didnt think that the CR was very hard, and easier than the one i took in October

arch44, did you have the ignoring others' opinion essay?

I had the eye one, alaska, africa, ppl who like grammar. I think that one question is "vivid imagery" right? I didnt think it was gentle

Can someone remind me of the nature/advertisement question??
What was it about? 'cause I took the test today, and remember having visible light and nature woman article but not advertisement.
Or am I just confused??

Same here. Maybe it was the experimental for the others?

yeah i think it was; i had the other two, but not the advertisement one

lol...same here

NICE so the nature/advertisement one was experimental?

Woman fishing in Alaska

Why does the narrator feel that she "was too late"?
- Most of the wilderness in the East had disappeared by then.

How do the parents live/feel?
-They live in serene contentment.

What do the lines portray?
- I said vivid imagery. One line was about the 'deformed lips of a lobster', or something like that, and the intent was not persuasive. It was just to show the things that they found during fishing, and the writing was descriptive imagery.

What is the feeling of the last sentence?
- musing contentment/happiness

What does the description of the narrator's house do?
- Shows how unusual her lifestyle is.

What is the line "my father's people" for?
- Accounts for misgivings of father about her profession (my choice)
