I need help getting the last few points. Can someone offer some advice? I think this is what might stop me from my perfect score project. :)

Is it the vocab, or is it the passage comprehension?

I think for vocab you might just want to look through the Barron’s 3.5k word list. And for passage comprehension - have you ever looked at the official explanations for the Blue Books? The official explanations may give you some insight on how CB interprets the passages.

Keep your focus maintained CONSTANTLY throughout the section and don’t overthink. I got a 720 in CR, but I got an 800 in Math and that’s what I did.

I think my vocal is pretty solid. I usually get 19/19 (sometimes 18/19). My problem is with the passages. Specifically, the narratives. The narratives tend to be a hit or miss section (all correct or -5 wrong in this one section). Is anyone else having trouble with the narratives?

Thanks for your tip! Focusing definitely helps, but as I’ve mentioned, the narratives tend to be a hit or miss. Sometimes, I don’t even get what the passage is supposed to mean… :-(

^OMG yes. I just took 3 CR sections. I missed one on the first section. I missed none on the second section. I missed 4 on the third section. And there was a narrative in the third section. UGH!!

Perhaps my weakness in narratives has something to do with my strong dislike for fiction books… :o

Can someone seriously offer some advice for the narratives? :-(

Oops. I realized I wrote “vocal” instead of “vocab” in my previous post.

Someone offer some serious advice, please!

I persuade myself that “the passage that i am going to read is the most interesting passage i will ever read” and that helps me get more questions right. On the other hand, I criticize the passage as in “that’s a stupid thing to think” and that also helps too.

I just interact with the passage and i think that helps me the most.

I do find the CR passages interesting… except the narratives. I think I have a problem with character analysis. Hopefully, I’ll engage myself more. Thanks for that tip.
