CR Questions.

Just a few questions in the Oct 2006 (I think it's in the 2nd BB as well. First Practice Test maybe?) .

In section 9, it talks about this woman (Shirley Keeldar) who has to marry a "respectable" guy. Do you know what I am talking about?

Here are the questions:
Numbers 11, and 13

11: Didn't understand this sentence at all. Does anyone know any tips in deciphering it?

13: So I got it right (Process of Elimination). But I don't understand WHY it is D.

Sorry I couldn't provide the passage

11: A
She thinks he spends too much time doing bad, common, and excessive(profligacy) things. He therefore for lives a life of reckless and undignified pursuits.

13: D
The whole passage consists of Sympson trying to CONVINCE Keeldar, to do as he says. But the entire time she refuses, showing that he has no true power over her. His threat is baseless because she has already denied his REQUESTS not COMMANDS in the passage, this shows his lack of influence/power over her and her decisions.

I understand now! Thank you so much
