The whole passage consists of Sympson trying to CONVINCE Keeldar, to do as he says. But the entire time she refuses, showing that he has no true power over her. His threat is baseless because she has already denied his REQUESTS not COMMANDS in the passage, this shows his lack of influence/power over her and her decisions.</p>
