CR score regression

Recently, my practice scores have plunged. I have been using the Blue Book and in the beginning, I was missing 0-3 on average. Took the SAT on January and missed 4. Now on Practice test #7-10, I've been missing 7-8 on average.

Why am I getting worse? I'm not missing the SC, only the reading comprehensive. I've been doing the same process and procedure as before. Are the tests in the end harder? The questions I've missed are not careless mistakes...

What is happening? I'm worried about the March SAT. I don't want the scores to be worse than the January SAT. How can I at least improve or stay at my old level? Why am I getting worse?

worried about this as well. Bump.

Have you gone over all questions that you have taken? Including the ones you got right?

^^^ Yeah I have. I review all the explanations from the college board website. It’s becoming really frustrating for me. My confidence in reading has dropped. CR used to be easy but not anymore…

I have a similar dilema, I’m on my fourth BB practice test and I can’t score above a 680!! I’m doing the tests side by side with TestMasters Solutions guide but can’t manage to squeeze in those extra points. The majority of my mistakes are in the passage based questions, and I usually get 1-3 wrong per section. My confidence is diminishing quickly, please help!!

bump… .

I would continue practicing. Some sections may simply not reflect earlier performances for some inexplicable reason. But given the factors that cause variability in performance, it truly is difficult to diagnose a specific cause. Perhaps it may be due to your apprehension over the upcoming test, overstudy, or some other personal factor.

If your scores become progressively worse over the course of the College Board Study Guide, then I would be astonished. But it is certainly not because your skills are diminishing so I truly would not let that affect your level of confidence.
