Hi! I am only self studying and only relying on the cracking the ap world history 2006-2007 editon book to prepare for the real ap world history test. However, I'm almost done reading the whole book, and I can't seem to remember many facts in order to do well in the pratice tests in this book. I can barely remember many details and many stuff. Can you guys give me advice in how to remember many facts and stuff in this book? Also, are the practice tests in this book similar to the real collegeboard ap world history tests? Are the practice tests in this book easier, harder, or similar to the real collegeboard ap world history tests?

make flash cards? also it probably isnt a really good idea to only rely on one prep book for the test....if you can afford it i would buy another one, barrons or five steps to a five. as i remember the tests in cracking the apwh book fairly closely resembled the world test.

Do you know if 5 steps to a 5 ap world history would be better than Barron's or Princeton review? Which ones would have more preparation for all the essays in the real ap world history exam?

Princeton Review is always the best, for almost all AP's exams, and the SAT. The questions (MCQ, DBQ, and FRQ) are very similar to what you would find on the actual exam, and it does help a lot.

Review books, especially for history, are generally not good enough to self-study for an AP Exam. If you're serious about getting a good score on a history exam, you probably need a real textbook. The review in your princeton review book is just that- a review.

yeah, i agree w/ lildude. but if u try going to Stearns world civilization's book website (or any other AP Wld book site) you can get some pretty good outlines. also try www.course-notes.org

course notes doesnt have world history. i think that barrons is pretty similar to princeton review and because you already have that one, for a more rounded review you should get five steps to a five.

um, can anybody tell me is barrons world history book like the sat 2 book, jammed with a lot and i mean alot of extra facts.
And is princton actually good for self study, because the SAT 2 book was terrible just terrible
