Crafting an excellent "Why [college]?" essay

I want to write a truly excellent response to the question of why I want to attend [school], why I feel like [school] is a good fit for me, and what I would contribute to [school] if admitted. I don't want to write something run-of-the-mill. If I'm applying to a college, it's because I've done a lot of research on it and truly believe it's a place I'd love to attend. But I can't just say "I've done extensive research on your school and love it love it love it!"

How can I communicate my enthusiasm for a school while remaining thoughtful? How can I let the admission officers know that I'm really, genuinely interested in their school without outright stating that fact and bashing them over the head with it?

What I did in my Why X College essays was I talked about specific programs at that school and how those programs will help me pursue my intended career. That way they know that you’ve done research on the school and that it is a good fit for you :)
