I did the Penn app online and sent it in, but my dad just told me that he can’t mail Form 6, the financial aid form, and the signature page until January 3, because there’s no mail on Jan. 2. If it’s postmarked Jan. 3, is that too late? Will my app be rejected right there? Please help!

That's your punishment for doing everything at the last minute. I'm sure many many people forsaw that the post office will be closed this weekend, and mailed it in earlier.

I'm in the same boat. My parents have simply not had the time to sit down together and discuss it. They still don't, really.

I think Penn would understand the situation of the holiday and be fine with it. After all, it's not entirely the student's fault for proscrastinating on a financial aid form. And there are a billion other finaid forms to fill out, so it's not the MOST crucial thing.

Please don't tell me its my punishment... my apps have been done and I was waiting for a supplement to FedEx it all today. And then FedEx told me they wouldnt pick it up until the 3rd.

its going to take them a few weeks to sort through all the stuff they receive--i doubt they will take the time to check the postmark on each thing, especially if its just a supplementary form

plus, a lot of people are having the same problem this yr and some schools like chicago are actually extending the deadline to the 3rd. it shouldnt be a problem...

So I'm pretty much in the same boat. The CSS PROFILE form looks a lot like the Penn Form 6. Why do they want both? All my other schools don't require financial aid forms til Feb 1 which is why I'm freaking out right now.
