Don't worry about the Penn FA form. Just another example of administrative redundancy by many colleges. A 1/3/06 postmark will
not effect your eligibility for aid, nor or course, your admission chances.

Thanks everyone, I feel really relieved. I live 45 minutes away from Penn, so the mail won't take long to get there either.

bill, don't just assume that it won't get long to get there. You can never trust the US Postal Service to get stuff there on time. That's part of the reason we have UPS and the other commercial services. If you wanted, you could perhaps drop it off?

you're overstressing; tons of people get in even after the deadlines--they're too busy ripping envelopes open to even care; the postmark is just when they would like to have it all...plus, colleges choose their best applicants; they're not gonna reject someone b/c the holidays conflicted with their postmarking deadline--this happens every year

I mailed in my Financial forms like a month past the deadline and still got over $30,000 in scholarships + grants.

If they want you, they want you. If not, it doesn't matter how early you send it in.

the admission office won't even look for that form if a college is need blind (which Penn is)...it usually goes to the financial aid office, so it probably won't affect your decision, and i doubt it will affect your financial aid award

raghav and jay sean suck

What about recommendations, will they still accept on that is postmarked on the third provided that EVERYTHING else is in?

Hmmm I love CC. I could have sworn the FA form was due in Feb for UPen... I guess now. Now I'm paranoid and want to check all my schools...

Is there a way to fill out form 6 (financial aid) online?

I don't think there is. Just mail it in. You'll be ok.

Wait... I did not see any financial aid form on the online version- is it a paper only thing? Was that supposed to be sent in with transcripts and recs and other materials or at a different date? Hm...

As for form 6, I have a question: um My parents are separated
Child support: that is how much I get from the government or something? What is this?
Alimony: That's how much money my dad gives my mom right?

Please help!

g_man1988 why did you feel the need to freaking post the same thing three times in a row?? the "you got mail" message from my aol browser was screaming it nonstop, which bothers the hell out of me.

...I only posted once...
