Since Cornell was kinda a last minute decision, I didn't really proofread my essay and this happened:

"...However, the experiments conducted in class were just basic. However, the experiments conducted in class were basic and did not go into detail."

I have mediocre test scores and was counting on the essay to bail me out but now it seems that all hope is lost since I submitted the supplement last night.

How would this affect my chances and should I withdraw my application? What should I do? I feel soooo bad right now...I'm freaking out....

Please...I would really like some feedback on my desperate situation...

u've submitted the apps already?

if u have, then i don't think there's a way to withdraw ur submission. and since it's one of your colleges that you've just made decision for, just try to focus on your other colleges.

i don't think that cornell will like that there's a repitition (it IS an ivy), so if i were u, i would forget it and work hard on my other essays.

Relax... They will understand. Remember that the people that read your essays are HUMANS... probably they will think that it was an error when for example you copied the essay from one document to another.

Just don't worry. It won't be that little detail that will ruin your application.

but the little details seperate you from that other guy with the same scores as you

remember how many people are applying to schools like Cornell, should have dont it earlier

**Think of it this way.

If it's an important sentence, it could be considered rhetoric ;).

I repeat a lot of my sentences in writing (especially short ones).

No need to worry; a great essay is a great essay, even if there
are mistakes.

Just my .02**

Don't worry ... enjoy life till March! :D
