<p>So it turns out that my friend who is writing my peer rec STILL hasnt sent it out yet : / is this going to really hurt my chances? : ( she said she's going to send it out sometime this week...</p>

<p>i heard dartmouth pushed back the app. deadline to Jan. 15, so you should be ok (plus, colleges tend to take supplemental things "late", as long as the app. is in on time)...</p>
<p>.......is the peer rec required? I never saw anything about a peer rec on the supplement..... uh oh...</p>

<p>Really VeryHappy??? I am sure her friend has her own college stuff to do. I have heard of plenty of kids who got into Dartmouth without peer rec's at all. Does that mean you shouldn't send it in? No. But they are filing stuff for another week- you have at least a couple of days.</p>

<p>ok.....i just gave it to my friend and she's going to try and do it by friday :S She also has college stuff to do plus we're both in the IB so we have crazy amounts of homework! Ok wow, this is so not the way I hoped the admissions process would happen. I hate feeling so stressed!</p>
<p>I gave mine to my friend last month and she still didn't send it either. I'm putting some low pressure on her, because otherwise she might take a lifetime to mail this, but I'm trying not to push her to hard about this because she is doing me a favor. I'm think you just have to remind her of how important is to you that she sends the rec soon, but also remind her that you are very grateful for her to be doing this.</p>
<p>yeah, i feel the same way. Since it was my fault i didn't tell her about it sooner I said that this was something very important to me and that i really need to have it sent out as soon as possible, but that i understand she has her own work to do... i just told her to do her best. She's a good friend though so I think she'll do it relatively quickly (i hope)... I don't think Dartmouth will hold it against us if we send the peer recs in a bit late.</p>
