Oh no!!
I just discovered that my counsellors and teacher have already sent off their reccomendations and stuff in early october, even though I'm only applying for regular decision.
The problem is, some of my schools like Dartmouth, Columbia, UPenn, have those "pre-application" things where they create a file for you after you submit the preapp. Problem is, I haven't submitted the pre-app's yet, because I was hoping to wait until I heard from my early decision school.

Since I don't have a file created for my name, will they have thrown away the recs??
What should I do?!? Freaking out

Email them. Detail the question succinctly and tell them the name of your school, name of teacher and counselors and ask if it was received and discarded. Or ask what is their policy for received recommendations before a pre-app is submitted.

G'luck and I hope they didn't throw them away, regardless of the whole "pre-app"!

Hmmm...that makes me wonder about all those schools I sent SAT results to that I now know I won't apply to. Ever. :| What do schools do with them, if no applications arrive? Throw them away after 2 years have passed?
