Crappy EC's

When I look at any thread that has stats in it, I realize how crappy my extracurriculars are… For example, all I can say now is: Key Club 9th-10th grade, VP of French Club 11th grade, P of French Club 12th grade.

Any advice to help me get caught up with everybody else? I’ve self-taught myself to a low intermediate level of Italian, is that something good to list? And next year I plan on being in German club too… My prospective major is Linguistics and I love languages, so would these be enough for BC? I plan on becoming more active in my church over the summer/next year too.

If I continue my Italian and do carry through on this summer/next year’s plans, would that be enough? My current stats are:

3.64 GPA, 4.52 weighted (+1 for AP/H)
~2250 SAT
Rank: 82/1150 (7%)
1 AP Soph year, 3 APs Junior year, 6 APs Senior year

Any ideas for me are welcomed :)

Everything else looks good (except rank. maybe ok). I don’t think self-taught language counts as EC. It shows that you love language.

So for ECs, I would say, volunteer in couple of hunger relief organizations couple of times over the summer, play sports (just get into your schools sports program and show up 2-3 times a week. That’s what I did). Engage in ur church.

Good Luck!!
