Crash etiquette

My friend and I are planning on visiting UCSC in a couple of weeks. We're totally juiced to finally be able to visit. We're not taking the usual guided tour, we've decided to just take a map and go exploring. On our agenda is crashing a class that falls into our intended major to try to get a general feel. My concern is crash etiquette. Is there a certain way to crash a class, or is it a totally taboo practice that will result in being blacklisted?

Oh, and are there diamonds in the rough we should visit?

i suspect this is during summer session. look into some of the summer session classes. the larger classes (ie +60-70) will not notice some new faces. smaller classes, email the professor and ask if its ok to sit in on their class.
have fun and good luck!

go see the village. its really...co op ish vibe.
