Anybody? BUMPPPP !?!?!

Those are good stats but you need something to set you apart. Chances are honestly a waste of time. What you should do is decide what you are going to highlight thru the app (seems like you are an artsy person-- maybe send in a supplement?) and make your essays kickass… Good Luck!

For those schools, you would need near perfect SAT scores. Are you applying for financial aid? That would be a major factor as well.

I am very realistic, I am definitely not expecting anything from upenn, columbia, brown and princeton. But I dont see any harm in taking the chance right?
@Chibby I agree completely. Thanks !

@Fall2016parent No I’m not applying for fin aid.

You need to decide what program you want to pursue

You need to get a list of top 25-30 colleges offering that Course/Program

Make a list of about 10-12 out of those where you would like to go based on location, size of college, class size, acceptance rate, diversity, tuition, job placement, and any other factor that you might want to consider while making that list.

You need to match your SAT scores to mid 50 percentile range of the colleges that you want to apply to

You can also select 2 in top 25 percentile as dream colleges

And have 2 in bottom 25 percentile as safeties

Remember College admissions are a lottery, the more match(4) colleges you have on your list ,you better your chances accordingly.

Great post anialways.

TanArch, for the top Ivies, say Princeton, their freshman profile says 148 students from 48 countries (and 20% of their admits had 2300+ SAT). That makes it 3 students /country. So you really have to compare yourself to the TOP person in your country (I think you need to be in the top 1% to even have a chance). Your ECs are great and you are not applying for FA. So I think USC/Rice may be more of a match. But like anialways says, go look for the list of 30 colleges (depending on your intended major) and choose some ‘dream’, some safety colleges.
