Crazy idea?

Sorry—I didn’t realize that gap-year students weren’t allowed to apply anywhere else. I figured they’d just lose their deposits, not their offers of admission! Anyway, @Regurge01, since that’s the case, you might as well give Harvard a try. But if you go in with a pessimistic attitude to begin with, you may be dooming yourself to a less satisfying experience there than you might otherwise have had. Instead of spending this next year looking for an exit strategy and focusing on other students’ negative experiences (which exist not only at Harvard but at every other school), why not really start investigating some of the good things about it and trying to find students who’ve been happy there? That way at least you’ll start school next fall feeling somewhat excited and happy. And who knows—you could end up loving it there.
