Crazy Insane Attention-Grabbing Title for Chance Thread

I'm thinking about majoring in poli science or english lit/composition.

White male, upper-middle class family of four, neither parents graduated college although both attended for a short time.
I am graduating from a decent(-ish) Public school from Arizona... taking a year off before applying to any college/university.
GPA(UW): F-3.0 Soph-3.1 J-4.0 S-4.0 (out of 4.0)
GPA(W): 4.4 out of 5 I think
SAT I: 1390/2090
SAT II: US-740 Physics-710 English- 740
Top 10% of class
Took 10 APs got 3+ on all except world history (sophomore year sigh)
ECs: Nothing spectacular, probably about average.
-Math Club (2 years)
-Chess Club (2 years)
-German Club (2 years)
-I write short stories, poems, and been working on a novel that I will finish and try to get published sometime this year.
-I play multiple instruments with decent proficiency: Guitar, Piano, Theremin, (I'll throw drums in too) Never was involved with school music programs but have been practicing in a band with some friends and currently trying to land some gigs.
-I can speak German conversationally, and I have self studied Latin for two years to where I can work my way through texts.

My current list of Colleges are: (Most of these are hopeful reaches)

Georgetown
Bard College
Hampshire College
American U
GWU
Grinnell
Amherst College
Vassar
and my If-all-else-fails safety is UofArizona

The reason I'm taking a year off is to explore myself and do some travelling. I'm leaning a little bit toward LACs but I'll consider anything at this point, also any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I think that Georgetown, Amherst and Vassar will be tougher. Not sure on Grinnell. Very good chances at the others. Best of luck!

For Georgetown I’d suggest perhaps a 2100ish on your SATs? And your freshman GPA kinda hurts you man, It’d be best to have at least a 3.7 UW…

Leadership could be improved or other EC’s should be worked out too, perhaps organizing something a writing workshop for kids or something? I’d get that book published by the way.

But as it is, I’d say… high reach?
What’s up with skipping a year lol?
