Hi everyone,

I took the October ACT as a standby tester. When you test standby, it says to create an ACT account a couple weeks after the test, so you can receive your scores. In order to create the account, you must provide either your Student ID or Social Security Number. I didn't provide my SSN in the registration (overprotective mom...), so I couldn't use that to register. In addition, because I took the test as a standby, I had no admission ticket, and therefore no Student ID. I've heard before (and read on CC) that if this is the case, you can call the ACT people and they will give you a student ID. When I tried this, they told me I didn't need the number, and advised me to register on the website and it would work (fail). Has anyone encountered a similar situation? Also, does anyone have any advice on how to go about creating a student account given the conditions above?

Thanks a lot! :)
