My daughter is excited that her high school nominated her for this symposium, but we don’t know much about it. Weird --there is nothing about it on the school’s website. It is mid-October, so the selection process is pretty quick. I just sent an updated copy of her resume to counselor on yesterday. We are from Louisiana, so I hope she gets picked. It would be a great experience.

I just got one today as well, @anarsc – I’ll see you there! I had no idea that I was even nominated for this, or that it existed… I just learned about it today when I got the email. I’ve been set on applying Princeton SCEA since August, so this certainly can’t hurt
Anyone hear from the travel agency? My son is heading to the Symposium, but no word back from the travel people. He emailed them his info last Wednesday.
My daughter was selected, and she has received her travel plans. She is flying into Newark. She has also gotten the email for her seminar and workshop picks. It looks fabulous – so interesting! We all want to attend with her.
I received travel information just an hour ago. Then again, I’m just about an hour away, so I assume there was some sort of prioritizing going on, which makes perfect sense.
@luckymama64 I know how you feel! The seminars seemed so interesting, I wanted to put four of them as #1… no matter where I get placed, I have a feeling that I’m going to have a great time.
