I want to study English and creative writing in college. I'm trying to decide between Colby and Kenyon (which obviously has an amazing CW program). Can anyone tell me about creative writing at Colby?

The Creative Writing concentration was one of the major reasons why my S chose Colby. He is only a Frosh but will be declaring his major soon.

Here’s a link to the program, if you haven’t had a chance to explore it yet:
[Colby College | Creative Writing Program | Main Page](http://www.colby.edu/cw/index.php)

Have you had the chance to check out the book “Creative Colleges: A Guide for Student Actors, Artists, Dancers, Musicians and Writers?” Might prove helpful.

S has taken some creative writing classes and has really enjoyed them.

Hi paloozzzzz,
I’m an English major with a concentration in Creative Writing at Colby. So I may be of help.
While there are amazing professors here, the department is very small. So if you’re looking for a huge variety of classes - you will not find them. I’m not familiar with Kenyon, so I cannot compare it to their program, but the program here does have, as already said, strong and inspirational professors. Look at the courses offered, and then make your decision.
