Creative Writing Summer Programs

Ya. Iowa looked more personal to me than Innerspark. Something about it seemed disconncected. I don't know why.

So, I've made a decision. We all have to decide a certain time to go to the library at the University of Iowa if we make it and long into CC, that way we all know who the CC people are...

Or wait, we could just post on here if we make it. :P

Hahahahah, definitely! That would be pretty cool. And awkward ->

ns2583: hai thar you from cc?
musicallylatin: o ya hai. sup.

Hahahaha.

That would be amazing. Ok, so if we make it and they ask us an intersting fact about ourselves we need to stand up and say we using the College COnfidential forums on a regular basis. :)

LOL! I'm pretty sure I could muster up the courage to say that; it's a deal.

And my dad is now convinced I'm going to hate Iowa, lulz. I'm more into cities, ahahaha.

Oh, I know I'm going to hate the location. I live in Idaho though, so I can deal.

I really just want the program.

You can go first with the CC comment though. :)
OR we can all order one of these CC Apparel : College Confidential Shop and wear it the first day. :)

Oh wow :P I didn't know those existed
Hahahaha i love the chances shirt :P (as ugly as the design is)

I want to know who designed this:

Classic Thong > CC Undies > College Confidential Shop

Does anyone know any other good, prestigious programs whose deadlines haven't passed yet? I'm sending my Juniper stuff in tomorrow, hopefully. Are there any other reputable programs?

Walnut Hill Here's one. I'm applying to their boarding school.

There is also Young Writers Workshop — Summer Writing Workshops for High School Students I think they have rolling admissions.

re: thong
i loled

I'm probably applying to the SIU program I posted, a few others, and the Walnut Hill writing contest/scholarship for the summer program. Most of the other programs cost too much for my parents to consider, but since we're middle-class, we can't get financial aid for them either.
I didn't apply to Alpha, because I don't have a sci-fi story of the right length.
And if I go to one, I suppose I can get a CC shirt and wear it, but since I'm not going to Iowa the point is moot.

Wait, what is SIU?

It's this one: Young Writers Workshop Home Page

Young Writers Workshop Home Page

EDIT: Ninja'd by FashionCapital, heh.

Oh, I remember reading that one. I decided not to apply because one week seemed like a rip off. lol

Exactly three weeks until letters are sent out for Iowa. Who's going insane?

I'm eager to find out whether i got in; however, mommy and daddy told me that if I can find something in CA i should probably go there. 8-) Make up your mind already!

But i still haven't found anything that appeals to me -.-

I hate maths and sciences and most programs are all about that... eh. I'm not bad at them, I just can't stand them. Most boring crappp evar! I want something humanities/ businessy/ writing related.

What's the CTY Johns Hopkins Creative Writing program like?

Hmm... I'm kind of curious about that too. Coming from John Hopkins I'm not sure the writing program would be overly strong due to the fact they're more of a science school. I could be mistaken though. It's happened before. :)
