<p>I was wondering if anyone can attest to the Creative Writing program at Hampshire? I remember when I visited, somebody from the school said it was a popular area of study, but I have yet to talk to somebody with first-hand experience in it.</p>
<p>My daughter tells me that Creative Writing classes are so popular that students have to basically ‘apply’ to get into the classes by submitting writing samples. Also, most spots are reserved for students who are pursuing a writing concentration.</p>
<p>One of the students on the accepted students day panel in 2011 was in creative writing. She gave an interesting presentation and talked about how the typical paper revision policy (submit, get comments, revise, resubmit) along with the Writing Lab were key in creating a great learning experience for her. The campus’ lack of tests puts even greater emphasis on writing.</p>
