Credentials Missing

and if you send the email in a week, there will be enough time to resend it and get it read by around dec. 15th?

My transcript and counselor rec, etc, still haven't been processed. Anyone else?

Oh, my supplemental stuff, too

Same here. Missing counselor stuff and transcript, college transcript, and supplemental red.

Does anyone know if Chicago would look at first quarter grades if they were sent in? It would simply be a report card sent by the school, and not any kind of mid-year report, with finalized semester grades.

This morning I sent an email to the teacher who wrote my missing recommendation to let him know before thanksgiving break that he might need to resend it. I mentioned that Chicago would not send the missing credentials email until later in the week, but that I was anticipating receiving one because of the website. I just wanted him to know so that either I could send him an email over the break and he could spring into action or at least so that he wouldn't have an unpleasant surprise to deal with when he got back. I guess I didn't make it clear enough that Chicago doesn't want anything resent until they actually send the email, because I just checked my mail and there was his response that he sent it today. I'm a bit relieved because that means I won't have to worry over Thanksgiving break about whether it will get there on time, but now I am a bit concerned whether it will be a problem that it was sent before the missing credential emails went out. Any help that you can offer would be much appreciated.

chill. The worst that can happen is that the office gets two of the same recommendations...not that big a deal.

They still haven't acknowledged all the stuff my counselor sent.

I'm OK with it, though, because a university (safety school) in the same zip code as my school just acknowledged my transcript today, and it was mailed the same day as my Chicago stuff. I know it probably got to Illinois a tad bit later, but I assume it's there and jus tneeds to be processed.

Mine showed up two days ago. I was freaking out and obsessivley refreshing the page until they appeared. You'll be fine. No way all that mail could be lost. Wait until Mrs. Pearson says to resend it.

ms

.

When SHOULD I panic?

Whoops, my second supplemental rec got sent yesterday :-o

Panic Dec. 1. Although you don't really need to panic, they'll contact you.

They'll contact you - famous last words.

if they contact me December 1st, I guess that doesn't realy give me an EA chance anymore, does it? How could it get there (if it never got there teh first time) and processed in 15 days?

Well, by the time they contact you, they'll be done processing everything. So all that'll be left to do is scan the incoming credentials of kids who have missing stuff. It shouldn't take weeks and weeks. My thoughts at least.

(Oh, and maybe they'll have people fax missing credentials to expedite the process? They could really get all your credentials in a single day: they contact you, you fax them, they scan them, done.)

Schmivy-

If you applied EA, and mailed everything before Nov. 1, the responsibility is now in the hands of Chicago Admissions to make sure they fulfill their side of the deal...maybe it will take you resending a few things, but Admissions does not have a choice, they must come up with a decision for every EA applicant based on that applicant's file. I am sure Admissions realizes this and, even if it takes all night or Thanksgiving day, they are going to sort through every last scrap of paper in order to insure the upmost quality in their decisions. Don't worry!

They're on break today and tomorrow.

All my credentials showed up yesterday. All i have missing is my mid-year report. Now i know my application is being read in the upcoming days!!!!!

i'm really worried that my science teacher (from last year) did NOT send my rec in. what do i do? i never see her, and i would feel terrible if she forgot. and if she did forget, it's not my fault right? i sent her a reminder before the deadline, and she said that it would be taken care of.

Why don't you see her? I would make an effort to speak to her, and to simply ask her. If she says no, then you are screwed, and if she says she did, then you can relax, and calmly await your decision

well telling me i'm screwed is just great! thanks so much, no wonder i hate florida so much

(yes this a overly emotional response, but oh well)

I'm still missing my guidance counselor stuff. -wiggles in agony-
